These biscuits are better to taste some days after you have made them, to lessen the "theet breaker" effect , or , dipped into a sweet wine such as Passito, Stillato, Albana, Malvasia, Vinsanto. You can dip them in coffee or tea as well.
During Christmas holidays, late at night, I like stay in my armachair, with a plate of mostaccioli, a glass of that wonderful Stillato, listening to one of the most beautiful song ever written: Thunder Road (music and lyrics by Bruce Springsteen, 1975)
I loved this song at first hearing, more than a quarter of century ago (when it was released, I was too busy in playing with my dolls to care about...).Still nowadays, when life has taught me that dreams not ever come true, "the chance to trade wings for wheels remains the beautiful poem that invites to search for your own promised land, leaving behind the metaphoric, or even real, town full of losers.
